twisted path Barrel Rested gin

The feds don’t allow calling a gin “barrel aged,” they decided it’s called “barrel rested.” It’s our gin, aged in a barrel… so call it what you want. Our barrel rested gin is aged in a bourbon barrel for just the right amount of time (usually 7 months or so) to balance the imparted barrel flavor with the gin botanicals. The result is not a gin with a hint of barrel, or an oak bomb with a gin background. Balancing the barrel with the gin botanicals means the flavors meld together into more than the sum of their parts. It takes an already unique gin into uncharted territory. It is amazing in many gin cocktails as well as some not ordinarily made with gin. It really is its own spirit worthy of exploring as a new category, rather than a slightly different gin.
